I decided that I wanted to learn how to sew. Sure, we got taught the basics in school, but I have basically forgotten everything I was once taught so now I’m working hard to re-teach myself, starting with easy little crafts that involve sewing, both by hand and using a machine.
I made a make up brush carrier using a , but changing it around a bit because my brushes are not at very long. I also made a small pocket tissue holder that matches.
It turned out wonderful, and apparently I still remember how to do straight lines. If/when it gets dirty from getting makeup smudged all over I’ll just quickly hand wash and it should be back to looking good.
Any good advice for tutorials with easy to make projects?

Great job!! i was also thinking about getting back into sewing. I used to do it when i was a kid with my grandma, and knitted a lot too…
I used to read your other blog, but was a lurker. lol. You have inspired me to get back into the sewing aspect, but, just after I am done moving in with my new girlfriend. I have boxes everywhere. haha!
good luck with your future projects!
is great for craft and sewing projects.
Paige – Thanks for your comment. I often go to craftster for inspiration, although I find it a bit difficult to navigate
